The tablet ships with a hsome spec list, including a 10-inch display with a 1920×1200 resolution, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 8.1 megapixel rear camera, 2.2 front-facing camera, 32GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, NFC, 6000 mAh battery. A defining feature for many of Sony’s phones tablets is the inclusion of dust water resistance. The Xperia Tablet Z2 can be submerged in 4.9 feet of (fresh) water for 30 minutes, is protected from dust. Owners of the new tablet will be treated to a few extras from Sony. Users will receive a 90 day subscription to Music Unlimited, 6 preselected films through Video Unlimited, early access to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 when it comes available for digital download. It might not be the same as all of the content you can get from Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S, but at least it’s something. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 will l on ly 17th, with pre-orders kicking off tomorrow.
