Foster was the vice president of hardware product development at Google where he worked on the Pixel and Google Home speaker. He reported directly to Rick Osterloh who previously worked at Motorola and Lenovo. Interestingly, Google has no immediate plans to hire Foster’s replacement. The reason behind Foster’s departure also remains unknown for now. He leaves Google while the company is working on the release of two new Pixel smartphones for later this year. With Rick Osterloh still at the helm of things, Google’s Pixel lineup is still in safe hands.
